The protagonist of the story is Sam. The author wants you to sympathize with this person because he wants $2000, but along the way the ransom he is was giving to Ebenezer Dorset reverses on him to where he has to pay $250 dollars to return the Red chief. He also has to watch Red Chief .
3.) The main character in the story is Sam. The author wants the reader to feel sympathy for Sam because he has to put up with Red Chief. He also got threatened to by Red chief to be burned at the steak.
The protagonist in the story Sam. The author wants you to sympathize with Sam, because he is the main character. For example in the story Sam is broke and he needs money to support himself. Also another example is when he tries to kidnap Red Chief and while you’re reading you want him to succeed in kidnapping him so he can get money.
The protagonist in the story is Sam. The author might have sympathized with him because what he has to go through throughout the story. This is said because when he kidnaps Jonny he was put through a hassle. Or when he had to pay 250 dollars to give the kid back t his dad.
The protagonist in “The Ransom of Red Chief” is Sam. In this story Sam goes through many troubles in “The Ransom of Red Chief” by going through crazy and wacky adventures. The author thinks we should sympathize for Sam because he is stuck with a little brat that trys to play lethal games with Sam and Bill. Red Chief throws a brick at Sam and cut and bruised him up. He goes through mud and muck to get a ransom but ends up losing money.
